God has given me a prophetic word I want to share with you. Have you ever received a message from the Lord and had trouble figuring out exactly what it meant? If so, you are not alone. Please continue reading because this may be helpful.
Early in the morning on 2/9/23, around 5:45 AM, my alarm went off, and as I hit the snooze button, I heard in the realm of the spirit. "STAND-DOWN. " I fell back asleep for about 5 minutes or so, and I woke up again hearing "STAND DOWN." I fell back asleep again and heard one last time, "STAND DOWN."
By then, it was time to prepare for my corporate prayer and devotion. That morning, prayer and devotion were great. Afterward, I meditated on the Lord and His word and fell asleep for a little while. When I awakened from my nap, the Holy Spirit returned to my remembrance that He spoke a phrase to me. However, I could not remember what the phrase was. I was trying to remember, but it just wasn't coming.
How often do you have a dream, vision, or hear and or feel something in the spirit realm and forget it just as soon as you become fully aware in the natural realm?
When this happens, Iv'e learned the importance of praying in tongues and asking the Holy Spirit to return it to my memory. "But when the Father sends the Advocate as my representative—that is, the Holy Spirit—he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you." - John 14:26. And that is precisely what happened. The Holy Spirit said "STAND DOWN." When I realized that God said this phrase to me not once, not twice, but three times I knew I had to search out what He was trying to communicate to me. I want to share three steps to interpreting a prophetic phrase.
HOW TO INTERPRET A PROPHETIC PHRASE!
1. The first thing you want to do is identify symbols when the Lord speaks to you. Specifically, the number three stood out to me. The Lords spoke STAND-DOWN more than once. I mean, God speaking once is just enough. However, he chose to talk to me (3) three times, which indicates that I should take notice.
As a prophetic number, three represents The Godhead or the Trinity of God. God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit. So prophetically speaking, I heard God, the father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit say STAND-DOWN.
2. The second thing you want to do is get a deeper understanding of the phrase you heard. Something as simple as using your bible or a dictionary or researching the words to gain more knowledge of the phrase.
So I did just that, and I found out that the definition of stand-down was,
In a military sense; temporary cessation of offensive actions; cease-fire; or truce:
To resign or withdraw, esp in favor of another
To go or be taken off duty
3. The third thing you want to do is pray and ask God to reveal the prophecy to you. Let me repeat that, pray and ask God to reveal the prophecy to you. Whether you know it or not, according to the Prophet's Dictionary, the most simple definition of prophecy is an inspired communication from God. After I did those three things on that day, God spoke this word to me.
Humble yourself, TAKE A BREAK, and LET ME FIGHT for you! Says the LORD. My children have been fighting principalities at high levels. God says, take a break and Let me fight for you. You have been fighting with and by force. But the Lord Told the ENEMY of your soul, Satan, to stand down. 3 TIMES
God said I told satan to cease
I told satan to desist
I told satan to withdraw
I told satan He has no authority over you or your life.
I have called you to rule over satan, says the Lord. Therefore humble yourself under My mighty hand, and I will exalt you in due time. You will rise to power and RULE over what has been RULING over you. So stand still and see my salvation because the giants that you see, you shall see no more. Because I, the Lord El Shadi, the Mighty God, I am fighting for you.
Isn't this prophetic word so comforting? I know many people who have already felt such heavy spiritual warfare since the beginning of this year. We are only in the second month of this year, and it seems that God is saying that if we continue to fight the way we have been, we will wear ourselves out. God is so good and comes to give us edification, exhortation, and comfort when we most need it. We need to rest in Him to rise to His power.
When the Lord spoke this to me, I knew that it wasn't just for me but a word I had to share publicly. One of the things that people often ask me is how do I know it's God who is speaking.
I firmly believe that if you call God in prayer, He will answer. "Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things you do not know.' -Jeremiah 33:3. I also think that you can take some practical steps to help you sharpen your ability to hear the voice of God. Following these three steps will help you learn how to begin to hear from God at another level.
